April, 1946 Founder, Hiroshi Kobayashi, establishes Kobayashi Shoten, selling parts for truck bodies.
December, 1949 Kobayashi Shoten is incorporated with capital of 4 million yen.
January, 1956 Starts selling car accessories and sales go nationwide.
December, 1963 Annual turnover reaches 500 million yen.
September, 1966 Capital increased to 8 million yen.
March, 1967 Product Control Centre is completed and warehousing is moved to a plot next to Head Office.

March, 1970 Leads the industry by introducing computerisation.
October, 1971 New warehouses opened in Shimo-Fukushima (currently the Body Division). Distribution service improved by separating body parts and car accessories.

April, 1977 Tokyo branch established to bolster sales efforts in eastern Japan.

January, 1980 Annual turnover reaches 6 billion yen.
January, 1983 Nagoya sales office established to bolster sales of car accessories.
January, 1987 Annual turnover reaches 9.5 billion yen.
April, 1987 Kita Kanto branch established to bolster sales efforts in northern Japan.

September, 1993 Distribution centre at Kita Kanto branch enlarged to further bolster sales efforts in northern Japan.
September, 1998 Tokyo branch offices and warehouses modernised through rebuilding and expansion.
June, 2000 Hokkaido branch established to bolster sales efforts in Hokkaido. Kitami sales office opened.
February, 2003 Head Office Body Division moved to Kobe Research Park in Kobe to bolster sales efforts in the Head Office area.
